It happened like this...we got her right after we came back from San Diego last year ..we went to San Diego for our sons graduation from Marine Boot Camp....she was a surprise for my husband...who wasn't too happy...as he thought we might already have enough dogs...(yeah..sure.....like you could ever have too many).....but by the end of the second day...Abbigail had stolen his heart...(she does that alot)...she is extra tiny...smaller than the rest of our Rat Terriers...and smaller than anything that had ever come out of Bill Thomas' Peachtree Kennels...but we have her now...so we will keep her...she is a show off...and not afraid of anything...even though she is soo little...all our other RT's are bigger...but she is the leader of the pack..the alpha dog...the TOP DOG...no fear whatsoever...YET.........
of course being so tiny...has its drawbacks...you always are on the bottom of the pile...getting stepped on ...sat on...(especially if you don't move)..squished...big dogs and people alike run you down...walls also seem to run into you for no reason...seems like I am always getting hurt here or there...mommy is hoping that I outgrow this...clumsiness...and smallness also for that matter...of course she seems to love me no matter what...so that is all the counts...right??
anyway...everyone seems to like me...I have great lineage...at least that is what mommy says...my greatgrandfather on my grandfathers side is a CHAMPION OF MERIT at the NRTA WEBSITE..http://www.nrta.com (check him out his name is BUDDY)...my mom has personally known and can tell you all about my parents...grandparents and greatgrandparents....my great grandpa skippy lives with us...also...My moms sister is Peppermint Paddy...she was Top Dog for 97-98 at the Top Dog website...http://www.tdog.com and she was also Top Dog for May 98...and also at the Foxbriar website for months...as the featured pet...and also May 98 dog at Logan Lane's website...My aunt...(Peppermint Paddy) is also on Page 34 of the Rat Terrier Book...by Linda Hibbard...the first and only ever (too date) Rat Terrier Book...My mommy is the author/publisher of the Ratter Chatter EZine...(newsletter for Rat Terriers...she has been doing that since Nov 97)...she also has Annie's Rat Terrier Message Board..and Picture Board...and we both do what we can for the Rescue of Rat Terriers...Thanks for listening to me...and coming to read about me...mom says I am a show off...can you tell by the pictures below?? by the way...did you know I won Dog of the Month for May 99 at the http://www.cyberdogsmagazine.com/ web site???
